   Greetings! I am John Bischoff (he/him), pastor of United Lutheran Church (ULC). I love leading worship, bible studies, and talking about the intersection of theology and life (how God interacts with us and how we live out our faith).
  Serving at ULC is a great joy in my life. We take our faith seriously through service, outreach, and worship but we also love to have fun and laugh a lot. 

Prior to entering ministry I attended the Milwaukee School of Engineering and spent 4+ years in the avionics and aerospace industry. After college I married my high school sweetheart and  together we have two wonderful boys who are both attending Augustana College and we also have a fun loving energetic dog who keeps us on our toes. 

I attended seminary at the Lutheran School of Theology in Chicago where I received my Master's of Divinity degree. I have served a number of congregations throughout the Greater Milwaukee Synod before serving ULC.
In my spare time I enjoy woodworking, repairing old tube radios, bike riding and kayaking, reading, and listening to and collecting music.
As the pastor of ULC I love to share the story of God’s love for all people and all of creation and am excited about where and how God is calling ULC to serve the North Pointe Neighborhood. What I love most about ULC are the people. We love to laugh, have fun and praise God in various ways. We welcome ALL people to join us in doing God's work with our hands.
